Identity Project
The Identity Project was a project where each student was able to choose a restaurant with the intention of giving it a new and updated identity. The specific challenge given was to give it a new color scheme, logo, letter head, envelope, business card, and overall aesthetic. This project tested each designer’s ability to come up with a concept that would stand out amongst other restaurant marketing styles by grabbing viewers’ eyes and creating in them a desire to visit their restaurant over other restaurant competitors. This project was a fantastic steppingstone for every designer who participated as it tested their ability to create a project that followed all of the basic design principals while also bringing something new and conspicuous to the table.

My personal design choices were executed with the intent of creating a classy yet bold design style. I wanted to create an identity scheme that would be unique to viewers and draw them in to the restaurant because of the way it stood out. The white and deep red create a very nice contrast when put together. It was also important to me to make sure that each element that I was designing tied to the others and displayed balance.
